Make sure the scan time for SERIALNUMBER is low enough that it will re-scan the product keys and then re-scan the computer to make sure that all Acrobat licenses are gone. Once you've backed that file and that folder up somewhere safe, go ahead and delete them.

See this comment for more info and how I initially found out about this file. This worked but I don't know what the -MUL file is for so perhaps someone else could chime in on that. C:\ProgramData\\ Note: I deleted the entire folder because it had two files in it, both of them were for Acrobat X but one had "-MUL" at the end of the filename but before the extension.

Adobe acrobat 9 serial number trial#
Here is an example from one computer showing both Acrobat X and Acrobat XI product keys even though Acrobat X was deactivated and uninstalled a long time ago (Note: I've also set the scan time for SERIALNUMBER down to 0 during testing under /Configuration/Itemwaittime/).Īfter a lengthy bit of Google searching as well as a lot of trial and error on my part I finally have a solution which I thought I should document here. This is not the fault of Lansweeper but of Adobe not clearing all the license data off the machine when the license was deactivated. However, I noticed that we had a couple of computers that would list old, deactivated Adobe Acrobat licenses even after a newer version had been installed which was throwing off my license report and making it difficult to tell if licenses were available to use again or not. This feature has been very beneficial to me and the company I work for.
Adobe acrobat 9 serial number software#
I want to thank Lansweeper for updating their scanning software to be able to identify product keys for the latest versions of Adobe Acrobat (at least up to XI, I don't have DC to test with).
